Hi everyone,

West of Scotland Senior Schools Qualifier 2020 at Drumchapel SC on Sunday 19th January.

• Bruce competed at U14 level with three other players in his group, including two players who compete at senior league level.
• In the first match he played the group no.1 seed who won the match comfortably 0-3. His opponent dominated the match throughout.
• Against his second opponent Bruce played much better winning the first game (11-9).
• The second game his opponent levelled the match with Bruce competing well (8-11).
• The third end was very evenly matched until last few points where Bruce just missed out but he played well (8-11).
• His opponent had gained confidence from last two wins and quite comfortably won the match in fourth game (11-1).
• Bruce looked to get his first win in group against next opponent and he did. Winning the match 3-1.
• A good performance in the first game was followed by a disappointing one in second game (11-5), (5-11).
• However in the final two games Bruce played excellently and dominated games from start to finish with good all-round play (11-1), (11-6).
• It was disappointing no further games followed.
• Well done Bruce.

WOS Senior League EKTTC 1 v 8 Joe Wilson B, Friday 10th January 2020

• A closer match than scoreline would suggest with a number of 5 set matches.
• Bobby winning (1).
• However JW B deserved to win the match.
• Great effort by all the players.
• Thanks to Achint for stepping in for Robbie.
• That was the first match of this year and we look forward to improving our results in second half of season.

Annual General Meeting

• The club’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Friday 31st January 2019.
• Venue: John Wright Sports Centre; Time 7pm (start of the normal club night)
• All members, parents, volunteers and coaches are encouraged to attend.
• As normal, we seek nominations for new office bearers for the club Management Committee at the AGM as follows:
  • Chair – currently Brendan Faulds
  • Treasurer – currently Peter Connolly
  • Secretary – currently Lorraine Bell
  • Club Captain – currently Luke Jackson
  • Parent Representative – currently vacant
• On the Committee, we also have Peter Connolly as Head Coach and a Heritage Representative in Bill Cummings, a long standing club member, volunteer and supporter.
• If required, all current office bearers will continue in post for 2020, but we encourage new members to step forward.
• Please speak to Brendan or Peter if you are interested in any of the roles.
• All nominations must be submitted by 15th January 2020.

WOS Senior League EKTTC 3 v 6 BB/Macabbi Friday 6th December 2019

• A close match with a number of 5 set matches.
• Luke winning (2) Bobby (1) and Cameron (0).
• Great effort by all the players.
• Well done to BB/Maccabi.
• Thanks to Luke for stepping in for Robbie at last minute.
• That was the final match of this year and we return for second half of season after Christmas break in January 2020.

• Well done to Bruce who competed well at Edinburgh League Banded on Saturday.

WOS Senior League EKTTC 4 v 5 Dunlop Friday 22nd November 2019

• EK lost out against Dunlop.
• Bobby winning (2) Robbie (2) and Cameron (0).
• Close match between the two teams but well done to Ayrshire lads.
• Both Bobby and Robbie remain consistent with good wins.Cameron just had an off night.
• Although another close game and considering the results we had at start of league we are seeing improvement.
• This coming week we play Joe Wilson C at home.
• Squad Ellis, Luke and Jack.
